AeroBase Group Response

This review was made by one of our few ex-employees apparently. I'll go over some of the things he or she said below. First of all - we here at AeroBase Group value our employees and want work to be an enjoyable place. People we hire work hard and our environment is casual and friendly. People often say it's the best place they've ever worked and that's what we're shooting for. As far as favortism, management being rude, big policy changes, etc - none of that is true. We don't have favortism and the system we use is automated and makes it impossible to favor anyone. We always respect our employees and listen to their ideas and views - we have a truly open door policy with regard to that. In fact, we encourage ideas because that helps us see other perspectives and grow as a company. I don't know the specifics of this ex-employee's situation so I can't comment on it but I can't stress enough that the views are not supported by the facts. Our employees enjoy each other's company, enjoy coming to work and understand that their career has endless potential. It's a great place to work and start a new career!

Pros

PTO, they pay for your full healthcare, co workers are cool, no weekends.

Cons

In the interview you will be asked if you can use basic tools like screwdrivers and hammers. In reality you will use saws, power tools, and drill sheet metal with almost no training on using the tools or PPE required when shelves need built or relocted. You will work at heights in a scissor lift and operate a forklift. Alot of this other than forklift is not in the job description (unless this makes them update it) . You will sometimes work with hazardous material and very heavy freight well above 50lbs. I accepted $18/hr thinking this was a Warehouse Shipping position boxing up packages, if I would have known about everything else I wouldn't have accepted this position for only $18/hr. You will also deal with customers and sales people through e-mail and phone calls so there ends up being more responsibility than they initially let on. Hours are great 8:30am-5:30pm with an hour lunch, no overtime required and coworkers are nice and while management are also very nice don't really run the warehouse area well as it is very messy and unorganized. None of my coworkers have even been here a year, everyone seems to leave after 6 Months due to all the unexpected responsibilies you have for the pay they offer.
