Hostile environment. - Anonymous employee Africa Imports Employee Review

I have been working here for over 10 years and there is a reason I have not left. Not only do I love the fact that we are helping so many people in Africa that truly need it, but I really enjoy the work I do and the people that I work with. It's a friendly but busy atmosphere and there is no shortage of people to help you out when you need it. I've learned so much in the years that I've worked here and look forward to learning more.

We could use a little more organization around the office. (This is in the works however as I write this.)

Decent pay if you’re willing to work

Absolutely no life/work balance. Be ready to work around every major holiday with just a handful of paid days off and bottom of the barrel benefits. Owner (and his wife who works there) can be super rude and inconsiderate to employees—and even to customers if they catch them on the right (wrong) day. Disorganized/cluttered office and no real sense of direction for company growth.
