Pros
The people make Alfred what it is, or I should say, what it was. Prior to being acquired by a tech company, Alfred was wonderful. Not a ton of money, but the people there were not there for the money. We cared about music and music education.
Amazing work/life balance, I will give them that much.
Cons
New ownership doesn't understand the music industry or music education. They view music as "content" not art. They are digging their heals into the ground for a software package that isn't exciting or demanded.
