Pros

Remote work for contributors / contractors

Cons

I was a 5-star rated contributor with Alignerr and have in the last two weeks completed 211 tasks. I consistently finished work well within the allowed time limits. For example, one task type had a 35-minute cap, and my average time for it was just 18 minutes. Despite this, my account was deactivated without warning. While tasking they had asked for microphone and video access, which I gave them, which also prove to them that I worked diligently and consistently while on task. When I followed up, support initially told me they would not tell me why, but that I would be paid for my work. But after another mail from me to support asking for why, they changed their stand and claimed I had used too much time, which is simply not true (I have screenshots that prove otherwise). They now refuse to pay me at all. They now owe me a total of 4 hours and 10 minutes of completed work, which amounts to 126.26 USD. This is unpaid labor. After I have repeatedly followed up with support with screenshots, they have not reactivated my account, and I discovered they had also deleted all my performance records from their Labelbox workspace. Fortunately, I took screenshots of my work, which I have sent to them, but they are not responding to my emails, and have also now removed my account from their Alignerr platform. Still, I am getting emails from Labelbox that I am being added to work on their new projects. This experience has been deeply frustrating. I delivered high-quality work, was a top performer, and followed the rules, only to be treated unfairly. Their own Reddit forum has daily posts about people not getting work, being deactivated and with no response or explanations from support. Proceed with extreme caution if you're thinking about working with this company.

Pros

Verification was easier to set up versus other freelance sites.

Cons

I was not paid for a over a week's worth of worth. When I raised this with the project manager over Discord, I was told I was a "spammer" and removed from their Discord groups and the project itself. Absolutely disgusting behavior and a scam website/company. I will be reporting to them to my state's better business burea. Additional cons: - They spam your phone all hours of the day (every day of the week) with un-needed updates. - After being on the site for months, I only ever got one project and you know how that ended. - Confusing directions and overview documents from the project managers. - They use every little excuse not to pay you. - Support/IT was absolutely useless.
