Cons
Executives have a tenuous working relationship with parent company leadership based upon misleading forecasts, lies of ommission and, in some cases, intentional deceipt. Leadership style is draconian with threats of job loss coming early and often. Down-channel communications are rare and the rumor mill has filled the gap created by mum leaders. The operations floor is a constant churn of new employees with no introductions and departing employees with no explanation. It is not uncommon for employees to wonder if they will be the next to silently slide out the door. Fear has created a tendency for SMEs to compartmentalize information preventing various parts of the organization from working toward common goals. Direct reporting lines are split between local and parent company (Nebraska) authority and local leaders have no operational controls, or in some cases influennce, to accomplish required tasks. Incongruity in both methods and goals makes this gap more troublesome. This is a disfunctional company with organizational, leadership and values issues. It is a hostile working environment.
