Pros

Provides an opportunity to work from home and develop an understanding of what it may take to get a private practice up and running.

Cons

Interns are tasked with finding clients, in spite of constant tech issues and glitches. This company is profitting off of interns under the guise of providing affordable mental health care. Interns are encourages to accrue far more hours than needed, at the risk of burnout. Administration staff is consistently dismissive and rude. Supervision is inadequate. Concerns are not addressed in a timely fashion. Management engages in social tactics to save face rather than attempt to make meaningful changes. The same few people dominate the learning spaces be it signing up for additional supervision or taking up space during live seminars.

Pros

Loved being able to work from home; flexibility; emphasis on community; admin team was very supportive; many opportunities for collaboration and learning; allyship; openness and acceptance were core values of the business that were embodied in practice.

Cons

Interns are responsible for discussing payment/scheduling with customers (great practice if you plan to own/operate a private practice in the future though); sometimes the follow-through/follow-up from admin was slow.

Pros

Work from home (although company does not offset any cost or provide equipment/supplies)

Cons

- Do not adhere to CRPO standards even after employees repeatedly raise concerns. - Toxic work culture with lack of stable management and support for therapists. - Exploiting intern and associate therapists to overwork and churn out clients (even promoting unsafe client practices re: encouraging continuation). - Lack of care or support for therapists. - Several reports of bullying by previous manager ignored by 'HR'. - No trained HR person for support with large full time staff. - Constant changes and updates make for an unstable work environment. - Serious lack of client care, main focus of the company is to make money and as it is not run by therapists, the level of care needed for both clients and practitioners is non existent. - Low salaries with overworking incentivised financially.
