Pros

Good company for starting your career. 3D metal printing is an innovative technology.

Cons

Chaotic project management. People from the management hold high formal education degrees but a lack of suitable skills to manage production, labs etc.

Hello there - this is Michael. I'm really sorry you're not enjoying it - I lose sleep whenever I hear of an unhappy colleague. Come and have a chat about what we could be doing better - I'd love to hear. Promise you can remain anonymous beyond me if that's your preference. And...the share options are on the way. Everyone's who's joined since the last options round should get some next week, and if we've done our sums right everyone else should have some already.

Pros

// Responsibility: I was trusted with project deliverables from day 1, even in my first year after graduation. A huge positive if you are ambitious and seek ownership of your work. // Management: Fantastic support from managers and CEO. Sometimes great support has meant telling me what I could have done better, followed by a “well done” after I put in the work and made the improvement. I am grateful to have colleagues who challenge me to think deeply. // Development: My career goals have been enabled. When I have been seeking a change or new challenge, an opportunity has been found, allowing me to grow. // Achievements: Professional achievements and personal milestones have been celebrated by my colleagues in very genuine ways throughout my time at Alloyed. I do not doubt the deep level of care my peers and managers have for me and my career. // Customers: Alloyed’s customer list is comprised of the biggest and best companies in the world. It is something I feel proud to have been part of building. // Diversity: Whilst it is quite typical for an engineering company to have < 50% female staff, I can say with confidence that 99% of my male colleagues have never treated me differently.

Cons

Alloyed will not suit everyone. For those of us who thrive here, it is a uniquely rewarding place to work.

Pros

Cutting edge technology. Competitive salary (especially for early on in career) Fantastic confluence page for training on processes that are very specific to Alloyed. Supportive HR team that seem to genuinely care about their employees, especially considering how few people work in HR. Necessarily strict H&S practices and approachable H&S team that allows the individual to query any processes they're concerned about without judgement. Very approachable CEO who seems down to earth. Fantastic (optional) healthcare benefits and extremely competitive pension scheme.

Cons

'Unpaid' overtime is sometimes required to hit tight deadlines however the salaries are competitive and working elsewhere at a slower pace would likely entail recieving a lower salary. Your work focus/project can be changed very quickly dependent on company focus (pro insofar that working on one thing too long doesn't become stale but could be considered a con if you're enjoying what you're currently doing and get moved onto something else at short notice)
