Pros

The company's growth is spectacular. Revenue has almost 5x'd since I joined, as has our footprint in the NHS. If being part of such a growth story excites you, then I can't think of many better companies in the UK. Moreover, this is the most high-performing, talented, and resourceful team I've ever been a part of. Every single member of the team would be the top performer in almost any other company. This is carefully curated through the hiring process, and it means everyone here is a joy to work with. Crucially, an equal amount of emphasis is put on making sure people are a cultural fit before they join. In almost 1.5 years, I've never had a colleague here who I did not enjoy speaking to on a personal level. This emphasis on cultural cohesion continues past the point of hiring, with my personal favourite aspect being the twice-yearly off-sites. These are always in fantastic locations and result in tremendous amounts of trust building and bonding. Last year alone we went to the Dominican Republic and North Carolina, and in a few months we'll be heading to Florida. Differently from other company off-sites I've been to, these don't require a huge amount of forced bonding but rather this trust building happens naturally as a result of the personalities we hire. Finally, the impact here is real! With every single onboarding, activation, and customer interaction, you get to see the effects of our product on the health of real patients in the form of reduced phone waiting queues, quicker access to care, and more comprehensive coding on medical records. Given how closely intertwined my family is with the NHS, including both my sister and mother working in it, this has been hugely rewarding.

Cons

The downside of a high-performing culture means that pressure, expectations, and sometimes working hours can be more demanding than at other businesses. For certain personality types, this is going to be something they are excited by. However, for other people, this may not be the kind of environment they want to be a part of. Likewise, there is a downside to having such a large impact with your product. If something goes wrong or if there's an issue, it can result in very real consequences for a patient. If you truly care about the impact of the product, it is difficult hearing the effects of bugs or issues on the well-being of patients. This can weigh on you, and you have to be able to cope with it.

Pros

You can tell yourself you're doing good for the world, though in reality the product isn't up to scratch and customers are leaving in droves (have a look at the reviews elsewhere if you don't believe me).

Cons

Working here feels like you're constantly walking on eggshells with a CEO whose behaviour is genuinely damaging and toxic. There's loads of chat about "no ego" and "taking ownership," but when it comes down to it, everything runs through the manipulative CEO. You're micromanaged to death, called out in front of everyone, and if you dare push back, you're out. The turnover is mental. People quit constantly or get fired left and right for reasons that don't really make sense ("culture fit"). Promises about progression, support, flexible working are all a lie. There's zero work-life balance, and burnout is constant. The way things are run is basically a mix of intimidation, mind games, and public humiliation. Feedback isn't meant to help you improve, it's used to knock you down and keep you in line. The CEO openly undermines people, including other senior staff, which just creates this atmosphere where everyone's anxious and insecure. This isn't a high-performance culture by any stretch. It's a toxic environment where the CEO's ego runs the show and everyone else is just trying to survive. If you're thinking about joining, seriously talk to people who've left first. And be ready to leave quickly if you value your mental health, your career, or just being treated with basic respect.

Pros

- Incredibly competent team, with some of the best people I have ever worked with. - The customer impact is very very real, and present in the organisation - customers come to all hands and share the impact of the platform on their practices / wards - Super visionary and ambitious mission - Growing exceptionally quickly and the energy is electric

Cons

- Intensity - everyone works really hard and it may be tough for someone who is not used to that level of intensity to manage - Obsessiveness with the mission - I was surprised at how OBSESSED people are with the mission here. Everyone really cares about achieving personalised medicine, and it can almost be overwhelming how single-minded everyone is in pursuing it
