You got free lunch once a month when I was there. The people I worked with were nice. At the time I departed, there wasn't much else to feel positive about.
Cons
Management and ownership here are a joke. The only time it's not a complete clown show is when it is instead a maliciously toxic wasteland. For anyone who decides to work here, don't bother trying to make things better, don't bother trying to grow, and don't bother showing initiative. The people above you will always know better, no matter how clueless and unorganized they. Suggesting things or taking it upon yourself to improve things will only be met with negativity or rejection. For example, expressing concerns about the success of a proposed event will only be met with shaming and mockery. DO EXACTLY AND ONLY AS YOU ARE TOLD and not a thing more. You will consistently be asked to take on more responsibilities and leadership roles without ever seeing a promotion to a better title with better compensation. Growth here is very limited, even if you do the extra worked that is above your paygrade. There is no incentive to work hard. I witnessed so many people with tons of passion, great ideas, and a desire to make Applied ABC a better company either fired, harassed by selective enforcement of HR policies, or constantly belittled and disrespected before quitting to preserve their own sanity. The turnover was outrageous. The lack of respect was abhorrent. The inability to show any level of appreciation for employees was despicable. The benefits were underwhelming, the pay was at best uncompetitive, and the culture is built on fear, rather than respect.
