Pros

He paid the engineers pretty well. Everyone is gets paid extremely low.

Cons

Michel(Owner/Manager) bites his nails in the meetings. Michel(Owner/Manager) scratches his armpits in the meetings. The Michel(Owner/Manager) is completely disorganized. Does not read his emails so he does not now what is going on in his own company till he corners you and starts asking you 1000x questions when all his answers were in the emails he fails to read. Company is over 30 years old but has seen little to no growth. Michel(Owner/Manager) harasses any employee that he personally doesn't like. He once came to me in my office and asked me about my peer. I told him that she is a good worker. And that the entire department relies on her experience to get things done. His response was that he just didn't like her attitude. A week later he was emailing the department that she has a history of mistakes. He was lying. He just didnt like that specific employee and wanted all the other employees to go against her. Alot of the other employees that were scared to lose their job, did just that. She was kinda shunned in the company. He is the definition of a bully. His self esteem is so low that he bullies his own employees. Employee retention is extremely low(60%). He had to hire outside council to tell him that you need to treat your employees like they are human. (He told me this personally) It is frowned upon to take time off. Employees that have been working there over a year have told me that they have taken 1 to 2 days off max. Employees complain about the work load and how tired they are everyday. It was really sad. Michel(Owner/Manager) manages the office like a tyrant. Daily meetings, employees look/sound and are depressed. And when I came in, it helped morale and employees started to have life again. I tried to hold multiple meetings to set Key performance indicators for the Operations department my first 3 months in the department because I realized that the department was doing so poorly. But he would make multiple excuses to not join the meetings or to cancel the meetings. Michel(Owner/Manager) told me that he did not have any clear responsibilities or duties for me but 3 months after I got hired, I got fired. When I asked him why, he told me it was for bad performance over my duties and responsibilities.. How can one base my performance over a criterion when there wasn't any criterion in the first place? Overall, I am so happy I was fired. That job was eating my soul and I was only there for 3 months!
