Pros

I worked along side a number of good people. Bonuses were decent, when they were paid (inconsistently). There is a company match of 401K.

Cons

This is the worst "professional" organization that I can imagine working for. The problem starts at the top. The leadership team will pressure staff members to commit acts that will push moral and ethical boundaries. There is no stability or sense of direction from leadership. They will literally say one thing one week and the opposite the following week. Supervisors/manager have no clue how to manage people, technology, or run a meeting. Meetings consisted of repetitive berating of the staff about how they were not performing up to expectations. There is absolutely no flexibility with respect to remote work. You will be expected to be in the office every day. Even when COVID was raging, they expected everyone to be in the office while implementing no safety measures (yes a "safety and risk management" company). Your time will be monitored using time tracking software. A business formal dress code is enforced every day of the week. While there will be promises of growth, of both the organization and your career, you will learn very quickly that these are empty promises. The organization is very flat with essentially three layers (entry level, supervisors and the owners). There are no clear performance measures and the performance review system is virtually non existent. The leadership team resists change, doesn't leverage technology and operates on a dying business model. This place will drain you mentally and bring you to question your own value. Don't make the same mistake that I did. Avoid it at all cost! For additional context, check out their sister company, Risk & Insurance Consultants (same ownership and leadership team).

Applied Risk Solutions Response

Apologies for delayed response as we are just now learning more about Glassdoor. Take caution with putting too much stock into such charged reviews by former employees. We would hope that Glassdoor could be a resource to provide insights for potential team members considering applying for employment here. Much like Yelp or Google reviews, unfortunately, forums/platforms such as these are an easy outlet for anyone who is remotely unhappy about something. Applied Risk Solutions is an ethical company, that provides effective risk management services and solutions to our clients. We have clients that have been with us for many years, as we have become an important partner in their operation and are able to support our clients in a sustainable way. Applied Risk Solutions does have a remote worker policy, and remote work is approved if the criteria is met. Team member must be past their probationary/training period and have access to a remote work environment that is conducive. Daily, we have team members who are remote. There is a formal performance review system, as well as a formal objective Performance Incentive Compensation bonus that employees can qualify for mid-term - as it is important to us that the if an individual is exceeding expectations, they are recognized and rewarded! There is no "time tracking software" in existence here. There are general business operating hours, understandably. Our dress code is, and always has been, business/business casual. We also wear jeans on Fridays. All typical for a professional workplace. We follow/followed CDC guidance reference COVID protocols. We also assist/assisted our clients with understanding and adherence to COVID-related protocols. Prospective employees. Take reviews like this with a grain of salt.

Pros

I enjoy supporting a small team of experienced Risk Managers - which allows me the opportunity to learn on the job and one day be promoted to Risk Manager as well.

Cons

It is challenging work in that it can change every day depending on client and company needs. You do need to be super organized and adaptable,

Pros

Located by The Battery in Atlanta

Cons

Unscrupulous business practices & employee management practices. They changed the structure of the company to attempt to avoid legal liability. Under “Matrix Group” or even “RevMatch” for whatever suits them.
