Pros
- This is a great place to grow if you're a driven and critical about established ways of doing things. This is not the place for you if you just want an easy pay check where the product is old and selling it easy. While the company has a firm footing in the market already, it's by no means past the teenage painful years of a startup. There is still a lot of uncertainty about what's the next best strategic move for the product, how should the sale process evolve as the mobile market changes so fast, and where we should be expanding our market opportunities. It's a great place to learn and grow if you're genuinely interested how to create a great product and company. - The playbook is still evolving. Despite being an establish player in the mobile market, there is still a ton of opportunity across the company for making an impact. Everyone from the way we engineer to the way we sell is still constantly changing. - Flexibility and trust. Most tech companies tout their unlimited vacation and flexible hours, but I've still yet to work somewhere where people care so little about where you physically spend your time. No one needs to see you. Just get your work done and be able to defend your decisions. It's more important to be sharp and hardworking than it is to show facetime.
Cons
- While I don't agree with some of the previous reviews, I do acknowledge that there are temporary gaps in leadership as the company outgrows certain leaders. The sales leadership that takes you from 0 to 1 is not the same leadership that's going to take you from 10 to 100. It's understandably hard to see that sometimes from an individual contributor's point of view, especially when you're fresh out of college and think that leadership should be infallible. But as someone who is an IC and have been at many companies large and small before this, let me tell you that it's really GOOD that this CEO takes change in team management very seriously and is making a strategic move when hiring the next person rather than filling the gap with anyone.
