Pros

- Your team members (minus management) are awesome.

Cons

- Poor management - there is a shortage of managers in departments that desperately need attention, and an over abundance of vice presidents who know very little about the daily process that are vital to company success. - Poor data management - the primary tool used for data manipulation is excel. There are a handful of SQL database. But, they are set up poorly, and contain erroneous information due to a lack of standardization and data validation. - Poor project management - there aren't realistic deadlines to complete projects. A project that takes a month to develop and test is typically given a week or so to complete. This fact creates undue stress and usually causes bottlenecks in procedures because work needs to be redone (...and then re-redone.) - Poor tech setup - Archer does not provide a tech setup that is acceptable for a data analyst role. - Toxic environment - high stress environment, not even remotely close to being a tech company or providing world class services (check out BBB ratings and Indeed ratings), traditional office environment, company mission is revenue source is sketchy. In short, if you are looking for a data position (or any position!) in Austin, there are plenty of better companies to work for than Archer! Don't sell yourself short and work for this soul sucking company.
