It's ok - Bakery Assistant Ashers Baking Employee Review

Employee's and management are all great people. Despite my short time there, I was made to feel welcome, which is probably due to the fact that it feels more like a family than a business.

Early work hours which sometimes include Saturdays although its to be expected in this type of job due to the need to prep everyday.

10% discount is about the only good thing

Staff members either sacked or walked out every couple of weeks. Was told would finish @ 2 in the interview but most days was more like 4. Poor training and no prospects for aspiring bakers. Owner will not pay anyone holidays and will not allow holiday requests when requested. Company inherited by a son with zero personal or managerial skills resulting in a very ammature work environment where the employee comes last and the owner bullies and threatens young members of staff.No christmas dinners allowed either because management put a guy in hospital previously.
