Pros

You might get to go to Miami in the winter. Perhaps even to a brew pub where execs like to hold business meetings. If you're like several people, you can get a promotion to a fancier title just because everyone around you resigns.

Cons

Poor leadership with micromanagement at even the highest levels of the company. Extreme egos that get in the way of sound business decisions. Embarrassingly top-heavy org with an awkward ratio of "executives" to non-execs. Zero diversity at the exec level which creates a good ol' boys club. You only get a little PTO and when you quit, you lose 100% of it. No 401k matching. Benefits and comp are not competitive with software companies. A lot of the customers are angry and yell about the products, which can be toxic for those in customer-facing roles. Lack of progress with product and brand has made it easy for competitors to thrive. There weren't any Covid protocols that I ever saw. People would travel during the pandemic without vaccination or mask or testing requirements. There was a company oath that basically said everyone is a salesperson (fine) but to promise to stand atop the daily leader board of Sales with red-meat eating Doberman-like veracity (what?). I've noticed several people who skipped Assembly completely as an employer on their LinkedIn history.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Assembly. I am sorry to hear that your experience wasn't a positive one. We do stand by the changes and upgrades we have made not only to the leadership team but throughout the organization as we have had a steady focus on growth and hiring. Our COVID protocols were straightforward - everyone worked remotely throughout the pandemic, and we still do. Travelling is never mandatory and all federal and local regulations regarding vaccinations, masks and negative testing were followed for those who did travel. Thankfully, the pandemic is behind us now and all of those restrictions have been lifted - however we still do promote a remote work environment to enhance work-life balance and to attract the best talent nationwide. To be successful at Assembly, we all must have an entrepreneurial spirit - it is a standard must-have for most young tech companies, and it's no different for us. That is what is meant by the comment "doberman-like voracity" - it was just a funny metaphor. I do want to thank you for your contributions during your time here and I wish you the very best in whatever the future holds for you.
