Pros

*Great wage!! you wont find a better wage in this field. *The benefits provided by the union are decent * a good place for those who have retired or close to retirement and need supplemental income. They offer part time and you can work as little as once a month or as much as 32 hours every week and whatever shift you chose.

Cons

*Non stop mandation due to staff abusing sick time. *Management doesent aggressively hire to fill vacant positions and when they do hire they hire people with no experience or they hire friends and family that creates a good old boy system. *Although I agree with having a union in place to keep the company in line this unoon is not about the people they represent and they are not about making the workplace better. Many members have come forward and suggested ideas to help moral and to make the senority system more fair and not so one sided. Examples include rotating weekends so everybody gets a turn at having a weekend off and a "bubble" mandation system so the burden of being mandated is shared equally. Many staff on the facility agree that this system is alot better compared to mandating the same people with the least amount of senority every day. Some of whom are being mandated to do overtime 4 days a week. The union leaders shot all of it down and sighted the reason so by stating "we did our time why should we have to stay" and "I earned my days off you need to wait your turn". bottom line is if it effects the seniors of the union forgot it it wont happen wither its the right thing ti do or not. * you cant come from a professional agency (example) state or federal agencys and expect this company to run the same way. You May work at a federal facility but you have to remember this is a security company and it is managed like such. * theres no oppurtunity to progress once you promote to a supervisor thats the end of the ladder. * alot if staff are disrespectful and rude. If you put them in there place they are the first to complain. * i would only recommend this job for those who want a big check
