Pros
- Product that is truly best in class, and it is not even close. Easy to go against competition if you put the time in to learn what sets AssetWatch apart. - Rocketship growth. Company meets and exceeds revenue targets year after year. If you understand the world of start-ups and want an eventual healthy equity pay out this is the place. - Nearly infinite market opportunity - Manufacturing + energy + data centers + water treatment + waste & recycling. You could not find many companies with a market opportunity the size of AssetWatch's. Chronic complainers come in and expect to be spoonfed success. Accounts are regularly re-assigned as the team grows to ensure more junior reps have a fair shot. The reality is there are no easy accounts and bottom performers will not succeed here either. - Unlimited PTO - I've never not had a PTO request approved. Of course, in the world of sales you only get what you earn. Anyone complaining about lack of time off made their own bed. - Culture - Results may vary but my current manager is the best boss I've ever had. I get plenty of freedom to organize my day and they are super hands off so long as I am producing. Beyond that my current manager is also super supportive when it comes to personal matters and, although I maintain professional boundaries, I consider them a friend. I've also gotten closer with some of my teammates than at any other job I've had in my professional career. - PIPs - This company will not fire you for performance reasons without putting you on a performance improvement plan first. Anyone on this board complaining about getting micromanaged until they were eventually let go had more opportunities to turn their performance around than they will get at 99.9% of start-ups and had plenty of warning before AND received a severance when they were ultimately let go. - Promotion opportunities - Since I started here several people have been promoted into closing roles, Customer Success and even implementation. But don't expect to get moved up if you aren't performing in your existing role. - Base + bonus + commissions + equity
Cons
- Health insurance is lackluster, but if you understand HSAs as an investment vehicle the one they offer here is a great consolation. - Onboarding is a work in progress, but they have been investing in the enablement team so that is expected to improve.
