Pros

The business had a good work life balance. Teams were not expected to work out of hours and managers supported this. Colleagues were very friendly and it gave a nice atmosphere in the office.

Cons

The business is stuck in the past. There is a huge aversion to risk which means the business is not growing. New ideas, although welcome, are not actioned. There is a heavy reliance on 'legacy' staff which is a big contributing factor as to why the business has not moved forward in years. In hindsight, there was a huge micromanagement culture. Where issues arise with senior management, senior management are protected. This has created a toxic environment within some teams.

Pros

Audio Network does it’s most important thing best - creates great music. Their approach to building their catalog is absolutely second to none. From large orchestral recordings at Abbey Road to finding a great hip hop artist for an excellent commercial release album, they know exactly what they’re doing. The people who work at Audio Network are also great. They’re the kind of people you bond with and become lifelong friends. Customers love working with Audio Network because they (often) hire the right people. The pay was very fair and the benefits were good.

Cons

There seemed to be a lot of management turnover which was unsettling. They also seemed to have the tendency to hire executives based upon impressive past work history at reputable businesses but didn’t have any experience in the music industry or knowledge of the industry landscape. Hard to get promoted here. They’re good about raises but it’s difficult to advance in title and take on more responsibility.

Pros

A commitment to a high quality of music. You can believe in the product and enjoy the music personally! Family-like work culture and environment. Generally a "fun" environment. Friends for life type of place. Approachable management Small organization, opportunity to learn about the various roles each department plays Healthcare plan is good Open space work plan makes collaboration and visibility accessible and easy

Cons

Working for a vendor with a weak, unrecognized, un-established brand makes hitting numbers, and agreeing expenditures difficult. Most managers and several senior mangers lack experience outside the company. They make decisions that are based on politics, not productivity, from client management to employee career growth and engagement Slow employee development. It's a small org, and with many employees in the UK, where job turnover is harder to come by, the structure is fixed. Slow product offering and portfolio development. Same product offerings for 10+ years. Cheap salaries Not a good 401k plan
