Pros

Excellent team to work with and the technology is state of the art.

Cons

Relying on 3rd party hardware manufactures is very exhausting and tiresome.

Pros

Augmate has a bright future with a seasoned team that gets things done. As a group, they are always pushing forward with new, yet solid ideas for using blockchain and more traditional technology for improving the IoT space for device management. The atmosphere is one of open collaboration and the CEO drives very good camaraderie. the expectation is that the work gets done but there is no overlording on people having to be at their desks by a certain time or needing to stay till midnight. There is a policy of unlimited time off and the healthcare benefits are good. Overall, the team are seasoned entrepreneurs that know that results matter the most with with expectations for all, no matter what level.

Cons

The team is newly formed as of early 2018 and there have been some technology personnel changes that followed 2017 with new leadership in place but it is stronger and more focused. Augmate is not for those who need constant oversight. Processes are being developed but these are lean frameworks and not overly burdensome.

Pros

The people who work here are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I cannot emphasize that enough. They genuinely care about you as a human being and your personal career goals. They also have a great sense of humor and are fun to be around after work hours. Opportunity to work with some brilliant minds. Innovative product in an industry that is just starting to take off. Fair work compensation with the opportunity to advance quickly in the company if you do well. Great work/life balance because of flexible work hours and unlimited vacation policy.

Cons

It's a start-up so you'll have to be prepared to take on responsibilities outside your job description, which is not necessarily a bad thing if you enjoy learning new things.
