Pros

Honestly, the best reasons to work at ACS are the team of people we have and the families we serve. We are a small clinic. We prioritize learning and service and are really focused on building up strong clinicians who can serve any child that comes through the door. We also NEVER turn a family away. Whether it's for behavior or complexity, or struggles with attendance. We work really hard to get the buy-in of the whole care team and do our best to meet the needs of the child, and their family. We also really like to have fun together, and we are always trying out new ways to do this. We've done ax throwing, and office family feud. Even our weekly staff meetings are fun. Our small team has a range of clinicians, from students to clinicians who have been treating for decades. There is always something to learn and we really want to support each other so we can serve the families in the best way possible. Working here is an adventure. This is a place where you will make a difference in a big way. If that sounds like something you want to do then you should probably work here too :)

Cons

ACS is a clinic that specializes in ADHD and Autism. The CON is that noone teaches us about social thinking and executive functioning in grad school and we have to get all that training on our own. But don't worry, we've created a training program that we provide so that you will feel super equipped to help these kids and their families. Take that GRAD SCHOOL!

Pros

ACS was a great place to work at during my post-grad year. Amy is dedicated to providing the best care possible for her patients and genuinely values the wellbeing of all her employees. It's not easy to run a business, but I have seen her take initiative to improve how she manages it. 4 day work weeks. There was free lunch at every staff meeting. The workflow system was pretty efficient. The space was large and neatly upkept. Getting to build relationships with the kiddos and parents was a huge highlight of the job.

Cons

10 hour work days were long that even the 3 day weekends didn't feel like enough. I would go home past 7pm sometimes.

Pros

Austin Communication Station is a local pediatric therapy office that treats children for their Speech and Occupational therapy needs with compassion and care. I love working here with a excellent team of therapists who really enjoy working with children and their families. Everyday is different, fun and full of laughter when working with kids! The benefits are great too, 4 day work week and off 3 days every week, and awesome health insurance perks. I love making a difference in my patients lives and supporting them and their families by providing treatments to help kids meet their developmental milestones, overcome sensory challenges and improve self-care, play and self-regulation skills.

Cons

Long workdays can be hard for some people's schedule, but great for mine.
