Pros

I like my job because I believe in the services that this company offers to families. I also like the people I work with. However, note that they just changed their name to Autism Learning Partners (from Pacific Child & Family).

Cons

In short, the pay is terrible and I will take another opportunity when it arises. Note that Autism Learning Partners is the same company as Pacific Child and Family (see their negative reviews). In May 2016 the company sent an email to all employees offering a $5 Starbucks gift card if we submitted a review on Glassdoor. In the same email they also mentioned "IF you don’t feel like you are able to give ALP a glowing review, we really want to hear why. Please email your CD/ED and let us know how we can better support you." Notice they did not necessarily want us to post any negative reviews and this is their way of saying that. I really feel like the $5 Starbucks gift card is bribery. I think I'll skip the $5 gift card and post an honest review (I don't dare post the truth and then send them a copy of my review so I get my gift card, right?). Do they really think that we will email our directors and tell them what's wrong with the company when previous and current employees have already told them what's wrong on Glassdoor (see the Pacific Child & Family reviews)? We aren't stupid and don't want to lose our jobs, so a website like Glassdoor is the only place we can anonymously tell the company (and those of you thinking about applying here) what we really think. The fact is that I like my job and the people I work with, but I think that the clinicians, administrative staff, and DSPs are all seriously underpaid (we all talk and have the same complaints about pay). Forget about getting any kind of decent pay increases either.
