Pros
The company owners value a healthy work-life balance and want their employees to feel comfortable at work, so the atmosphere in the office is relaxed. AutoSweet isn’t the environment for those that are easily offended, as the business values honesty and unfiltered personalities. There are core work hours, but schedules are flexible for students, those with families, and appointments outside of work. One of the owners enjoys karaoke after hours, and management often treats the office to donuts and summer cookouts.
Cons
Since the office is an open cubicle setting, there is little privacy and it can get fairly loud. A pair of headphones and a kind reminder to let people know you’re trying to focus are helpful with distractions. Job descriptions aren’t concrete, so employees have to perform jobs where there is a void for a particular role, and know when to respectfully decline a task better suited for someone else on staff.
