Pros

Remote work is common and accepted. Pay for management is decent.

Cons

Wildly unequal pay scale across company. Sales team is a group of entitled, whiny, greedy, selfish individuals who will never work as a team for the common good of the company. CEO is lazy and spends his time in meetings looking bored, scrolling his phone. He also takes the sales team’s word as gospel, never respecting his management team. CEO hires buddies who don’t do any work and exist to drain the company’s payroll. Terrible culture. You can’t speak up without the fear of getting fired. Fires people without due cause or warnings. Leadership team has a lot of inexperience. Leadership doesn’t care about their employees and are completely out of touch. Truly the worst company I have ever worked for, by far. If you are considering a position here and are a selfish, gossiping, morally bankrupt salesperson, it might be a good fit. However, if you are a decent human - RUN.

Pros

As someone who has experienced both the lows and highs over the years, I can confidently say the company is heading in a strong and promising direction. Leadership is becoming more focused and transparent, and there’s a clear sense of momentum behind our efforts to build something truly great. One of the biggest shifts I’ve seen is how much more aligned and collaborative the teams have become. Silos are breaking down, communication is improving, and people are genuinely working together to solve problems and support each other. There’s a stronger sense of shared purpose than I’ve felt in the past, and it’s energizing. Being part of an ESOP adds another layer of meaning to the work we do. We’re finally beginning to see the results of our shared investment—both financially and culturally—which is incredibly motivating. There’s a renewed sense of ownership and pride across the company, and while we’re still taking baby steps, those steps are clearly moving us in the right direction.

Cons

No company is perfect, and this one is no exception. While I believe the leadership team is committed to building a stronger culture and future, that transformation is still in progress. There are pockets of the company—especially in certain regions—where the culture hasn’t fully caught up with the vision. A few individuals have resisted the shift toward more collaboration, accountability, and ownership, which has occasionally created friction or slowed progress. That said, it’s encouraging to see leadership taking culture fit seriously. People who don’t align with the values are either choosing to leave or being managed out. While this creates some short-term tension and uncertainty, especially if you’re in the middle of those changes, I believe it’s a necessary step for long-term growth. It’s tough to see turnover or restructuring happen, but it shows that the company is serious about protecting the culture it’s working hard to build. Change is never easy, and it can feel uncomfortable at times—but I’d rather be in a company that’s actively evolving than one that stays stagnant.

Thank you for your thoughtful and candid feedback. Your perspective reflects both the progress we’ve made and the work still ahead, and we sincerely appreciate your commitment to helping us grow. It’s encouraging to hear that the investments we’ve made around alignment, transparency, and collaboration are taking hold in meaningful ways. As you pointed out, a stronger sense of shared purpose and ownership is emerging, and we’re proud of the direction the company is heading. That kind of momentum doesn’t happen without dedicated individuals like you, who continue to lean in and help drive positive change. We also appreciate your acknowledgment that transformation is a process. While we recognize that certain areas of the business are at different stages in that journey, we remain committed to fostering a culture that supports accountability, clarity, and values alignment across every team. Navigating these changes isn’t always easy, but we believe they’re essential to building something lasting and impactful. Thank you again for your engagement and your trust. Your voice helps guide the work we do every day.

Pros

While Automation-X has been through many changes in the past year, the team is working hard to move the company in the right direction. Changes to management in removing some previous individuals and bringing Phil back in as the President was the best decision that could have been made for the company. With this change we are now moving in a more positive direction and slowly seeing improvements. Transparency has increased and management seem to be well aligned at this time. Overall, I feel very supported by my colleagues accross departments and truly enjoy working with everyone on the team here. We build close relationships with one another and I really value that in a work environment. Automation-X offers fantastic benefits, better than many of my colleagues and myself have seen elsewhere, in the industry or otherwise. The ESOP is a really exciting benefit in addition to the standard benefits that are offered. I am excited about the long term potential of this and I like that it includes every employee.

Cons

We as a company certainly have work to do to continue to make improvements, but we are headed in the right direction. Continued focus on transparency, accountability and employee development will help all of our team members and I am excited to be a part of this improvement.
