Pros

Sales team seems great and training on their booking system is great.

Cons

Avoya Travel offers 30% on commissions received from sales so figuring out that percentage on sales made this year, that is about 2% commission on sales booked each year. They claim you will make up for the low commissions offered with getting lots of leads BUT HORRIBLE LEADS OFFERED. At least 50% are bad leads right off the bat. They send you leads without phone numbers or email addresses or incorrect information of both. Plus international leads that you cant contact during normal working hours unless you want to get up at 1am to call your client if they can talk to you. Leads that dont speak English when all you handle is English speaking clients. Wasting alot of time and effort. Finally, the clients that you can talk to or email only want QUOTES only so they can compare pricing and Avoya Travel is NEVER has competitive pricing. They even say they can match offers but when you try to do that for a client, the service reps just laugh at you. They asked me where did I think I was going to get my commissions from? Most clients get the quote from me and then book directly with Cruise Lines, Vacations.com (which is cheaper) or American Express Concierge Service which is ironic since Avoya Travel is suppose to be the preferred travel agency of American Express. Finally, Clients and Travel Agents can be disappointed when Clients do not receive the perks that Avoya Travel advertises. I have one client very upset they they did not receive bonus offers after I requested them for the client through Avoya Travel and directly with Cruise Line. So I asked Avoya Travel for help to rectify this situation before client leaves on travel. The service rep said TOO BAD ITS YOUR PROBLEM, NOT OURS. When I emailed the Avoya Information to show them what I was talking about, they sent a message back that said they have stopped all my commissions. I told them I dont work for free and I need to talk to a supervisor. HAVE HEARD NOTHING. I cannot help anymore of my clients at this time for fear that I cannot assist them honestly and with integrity. Plus, they change their information and perks and offers day to day and change how to book reservations all the time too so its no wonder when asked for help, they are unable to deliver it, it could change again.
