Only way up is networking, soft skills will get you further than your technical skills, workforce is an upside down pyramid, there are more managers than anyone else, something of an old boys club. Most of the top talent left years ago leaving a void of technical knowledge. Dont forget to do your weekly time sheets or management will lose their minds. Better of finding out who there clients are and applying there. Too much corporate spiel and propaganda from the top, short term outlook with revolving door CEOs and too many non technical managers. Dont expect to be included in decision making. Pathetic hardware for developers. Expect to spend half your time working through hr processes and sat in unnecessary meetings. Under pay their technical staff, particularly developers. Easier to get promoted by leaving and rejoining.
