Lots of opportunities and talented individuals to work along side. The Detica brand is well recognised. Interesting and complex projects to work on. Leadership team have made an effort this year to meet employees and even had the opportunity to meet the CEO.
Cons
Management heavy and not enough mid and lower grades to deliver the projects. Appraisal process is constantly being changed every year and pretty poor compared to other organisations I've worked for and still not fit for purpose. Lack of decent bonus Long hours and unrealistic timescales Lots of resignations and loss of talent to competitors Business units fighting over scarce resources with projects and employees suffering Lack of understanding of technical roles and the importance of each Significant reliance on contractors to deliver projects resulting in project mobilisation delays Constant pressure to charge 100% of time to billable work, even dropping 1 hour is frowned upon and expected to be done 'within the margins'.
