Pros
Their mission was great and teacher staff were hard working. Loved some of what they did in the community. There are some nice people working here for sure. You can probably find a good department to work in if you are lucky.
Cons
BR projects a great image as caring for the community, but internally some departments have notoriously high turnover including some areas of HR due to poor management and generally being disorganized. In my experience, BR did not walk the walk. They were more concerned about appearances, but quietly screwed over hardworking people on a regular basis. Two-faced, untrustworthy and soul-sucking management in some areas. No management is held accountable. No one listens to concerns. The best thing I did for myself was find another job away from BR, it was a bad decision for me to work here when I ignored glaring red flags during my interview with higher management who actually expressed her distain for the general staff and characterized them as "entitled children." Also, BEHIND THE TIMES. BR was proud of itself for adding MLK day to their holidays for the first time in 2023 -how sad and embarrassing.
