Pros
I've been working as an intern here for two months and I have nothing but positive things to say. At first I wasn't too sure how it would feel to work remotely, but Mark London and Eileen Marra guide you through it and really make this an enjoyable experience. They stay engaged with the interns via online video chats throughout the week, so you're always in the loop. In addiction to the people, I've learned more about sales and business to business interactions in two months than I had in all of my previous work experience. There are so many real world skills that can be learned through all aspects of this internship. Whether it's calling companies to sell our product, or emailing CEO's to inquire about marketing opportunities, BYOB provides you with the platform and parameters to communicate with people on a daily basis. Two months into my internship and I've talked with other businesses and associations every day. It's crazy what you can learn once you get into the schedule of an actual sales person. There are definitely some learning curves, but I couldn't imagine a better way to get real world business to business experience.
Cons
I don't have anything negative to say about the BYOB program.
