Pros

There is a gated car park outside with key fob access only- my car seems to be safe while I am at work.

Cons

Salary is below market rate- while training and also newly qualified Salary doesn't increase throughout training contract (until right at the end) and management reluctant to provide written details of pay scale Poor information provided at interview stage- no mention of working away for up to 50 nights per annum, no pay scale information No benefits/rewards (monetary or other) or incentives except £100 per annum for passing professional exams (£6pcm approx) where other similar firms pay £250-£500 per exam. Out dated and lengthy expenses reclaim process, no company card or car despite travel in line with that of a sales representative Staff morale and satisfaction extremely low- for many reasons directly related to treatment and working environment Significant divide between management and lower ranks Staff events are non-existent and no money seems to be spent on welfare or socials Company wide pay increase was 1% last year, not in line with inflation and increases in living wage Some staff on slightly below national minimum wage when calculated

Pros

Staff were nice and professional in the London office but in the Manchester office it is a very different story, specifically for management.

Cons

Management in the Manchester office is terrible. They have a very cold and corporate attitude considering that they are relatively small and unknown as an accountancy practice. I have worked in much larger firms before you were more humble and understanding. I had a director contact with me in my first few days of employment warning me not to mess up. I had a manager betray me for work that was not done due to reasons outside of my control (client availability). Management seriously lack professionalism. I only accepted the position as I was led to believe I wouldn’t have to work in order, but this was not the case at all.
