Pros

After much fighting & gnashing of teeth, the management eventually purchased a few industry-standard tools, which allowed us to actually do our job. Standard 9-5 hours.

Cons

Highly nepotistic, family-owned business. They once had a good idea, but were never able to capitalize on it due to lack of vision, inability to form meaningful or lasting relationships with clients, and an absence of competent management to take the company in some kind of direction. Upper management was frequently adversarial and occasionally hostile, and generally unprofessional. Most of the "cutting edge technology" they claim to have, has since been supplanted by major competitors, who have taken the same kind of work & made it industry standard. Many of the founding members have left or been fired over differences of opinion. They also tend to low-ball on salary & do not give meaningful benefits (no retirement, no dental, etc).

Pros

Perks such as a nice coffee setup, lunch two days a week, and paid holidays. You will have a chance to put some decent experience on your resume. People below the C-suite are great and helpful.

Cons

Management is disrespectful and looks down on people. They are professionals and starting and selling companies. They do not care about it or anyone working there, just their money. A few of them are family...and you can tell by the way they act with each other. They are stretching too thin and trying to do too many products. They have no order to how they run their business. As I left many people were also looking at leaving for these very reasons. Was once told by a developer that he didn't feel he could even get a coffee for a few minutes because they were worked so hard and yelled at (yes YELLED at) for not getting enough done. STAY FAR AWAY.
