Pros
If you get a supportive manager and team, you're protected and have good guidance on your day to day job. Benefits are decent, pension is solid. Flexible national holidays mean you can work on public holidays and take those days off later.
Cons
A really mean culture, especially in the B2B space. The way people speak to you is really condescending and entitled. Hardly heard a thank you in recent months. Incompetence is also rampant, I've worked with people who I have taught the same processes over dozens of times and each time we get placed in a new project together they still aren't able to grasp the basics. Directors and senior management is not responsive to emails or messages unless it's urgent. Approvals for everything. I once needed 4 months of approvals to send out a single email. Promotions are insanely slow. If you move from a junior position to a senior position within 3 years, it's considered fast tracked. Layoffs and endless management changes in recent years have caused crazy turnover. The lack of documentation means half the company is operating with no clue what they're doing. Oh and HR will rat you out whenever they can. There's basically zero incentive to stay with the company but management is constantly confused why there's so much turnover.
