Pros

well designed office space located on a cool street in a great town my daughter loved that I smelled like coffee the product (I think) is legit. They have so much potential to be cool, but fall painfully short, depressing to witness

Cons

As one of my colleagues put it, "it feels like a scam" Being a salesperson, nothing is worse than feeling like you're selling something sketchy! I wasn't sure I could give customers my word because nothing was consistent. There was absolutely zero go to market strategy for the new roaster, it was constantly changed - focus on reservations, focus on full payments, say it's coming in 3 months, say we don't know when it's coming, tell them they pay later, tell them they pay the balance in advance to get higher on the delivery list, and on and on...a different story, and often opposite approaches, every other week. No consistency. No plan or strategy and being honest with customers was never a point of consideration.

Pros

Overall I love working for Bellwether. I cannot speak too much to the other teams, but the talent within the Engineering/R&D team is amazing. We are building something that has genuinely never existed before, and that really keeps me coming back as a Software Engineer. Benefits are good for a startup, yes it's not the same as the big 10, but there are stock packages to help make up that gap. Again I cannot speak to other teams, but the management within my team is excellent.

Cons

Not a con that is specific to Bellwether Coffee, but it's a larger startup so some days are pretty crazy and yes you'll have some late nights and early mornings. Not a con that I care about but it's worth noting. This ISN'T one of those startups that expects 70 hour weeks anymore, but somewhere between 40-50 is what is expected.
