Fabulous lunches prepared fresh every day. Lesson learnt- through awful management and leadership, it taught me how to be an amazing manager and never treat my team the way I was treated at Best Companies.
Cons
The teams are exceptionally Clicky - even if you have the best social skills and a great friendship group - this is like American nasty girls inc. Dress well, perfect makeup and be prepared to join in keep fit classes (if you don't you will be further removed from the circle) Management team ran by a complete fear factor! - If you enjoy being shouted at and made to feel you are worthless and that whatever you produce (unless its the CEO's idea) is utter rubbish and the worst thing you could have ever presented - its the perfect place for you! I came into a position with free reign - but what utter tosh! I left a very good job to join Best Companies and it was the worst thing I ever did! Home life balance became awful as I would work extra hours to ensure that I triple checked everything I produced before showing the CEO - who either told me it was crap or never got back to me. The awards are incredible however, you sit there clapping for award winners and their achievements, but they have no idea they being awarded by the biggest bully and aggressive man ever. You will never be on friendly terms with the management team and the customer service team are so clicky it is hard not to feel inadequate! They report everything back so best behaviour at all times. Needless to say when I left the company it took me a while to trust any of my new colleagues in my new company. I am now a director for a large company and refuse to treat any of my team the way I was managed whilst at Best Companies. Team talks and awards are so contrived and again inner circle only! If you are on the watch list you will not be considered - even if you raised a million pounds.
