Pros

I loved working with the patients and my team lead was awesome.

Cons

Management was horrible. They used scare tactics when reprimanding someone. I was accused of something I didn’t do and got yelled at about it. It was a horrible experience.

Cons

Bethany is such a nightmare. Managers and team leads are selected by favoritism who are unqualified and have no prior experience in medical billing and coding. Bethany refuses to hire an appropriate director with revenue cycle credentials, leaving the department with poor direction and immense pressure from the CEO. The CEO is a micromanager with no knowledge of how the billing/coding industry works but acts as if they're the director instead of the actual appointed director. The work environment is toxic and managers/team leads will disregard your expertise if you're a certified professional coming in with years of experience because you are better qualified than them. The workload is overwhelming due to the CEO's excessive demands, and you're often tasked with handling other departments' responsibilities that are not listed in your job description. The lack of appreciation for hard work and experience is disheartening. Compensation does not reflect the years of experience and dedication brought to the role. Everything is done sloppily and shady. They are reluctant to make corrections if it means they'll lose revenue, regardless of whether it was coded correctly or not. HIPAA guidelines are ignored when computer's are left unintended with patient records open on screens. Multiple reports have been sent to the NC Medical Board and the outcome is publicly listed on the Office of Inspector General official government website. I really hope this will cause an internal reform that's long overdo. Their patients and employees all deserve better.
