Pros

Learned a lot about different types of equipment, colleagues were great but there was such a high turnover (for a good reason) I can barely list this as a pro

Cons

Low pay, high volume of work, owner is extremely off-putting, management is barely existent.

The company's pay and benefits packages are competitive and in line with industry standards. Full-time employees who have been with the company for over a year have access to Paid Holidays, PTO, Semi-Annual Bonuses, and a Generous Matched 401K. The team sets production goals; every morning, there is a team huddle to go over the production goals. During this meeting, employees are highly encouraged to contribute and collaborate. Most importantly, employees are required to rate how their day was, rate the workload, and work instructions provided for completing goals, empowering them to have a direct impact on the company and tasks performed. Each department has a dedicated manager and team lead whose sole purpose is employee training, coaching, and development. The owner is not available for socialization or fraternization. Employees who thrive at Beyond Surplus require minimal supervision and no micromanagement. They are reliable and have good attendance, are good communicators, raise any and all issues during all the various team meetings, and are coachable, trainable, and willing to learn, among other traits. Thank you for the feedback.

Pros

It's a good place to get your PC knowledge chops and be around all kinds of computer parts. I was there for a good 6 months and it was exactly what I expected. You need to be detailed and ready to learn and make mistakes. Not too many though. There's a grace period where you need to understand what the hell you're doing. Ze the warehouse manager is awesome at letting you know what's up. At first it feels like it's a cold environment, but after a while you get it and it's not as cold. Give it time and give yourself a bit of room to understand and learn. Be fast but don't be too fast to make mistakes that will bite you when they come back to you. Overall the pros are once everyone gets to know you the environment is chill-ish and the bosses are pretty good to you. They will test your knowledge and be hands and not afraid. The best part is communicated with everyone and be on time all the time. If you're late, let them know. It's super important. No excuses. Be on time or earlier no nonsense cause they don't tolerate nonsense. If i didn't have the circumstances I did I would have stayed. I would be there still honestly, I was getting used to the workflow which isn't that bad. Always keep a log of your work and get good quick.

Cons

The cons are pretty straight forward. Pay is ok but could always be better. Company is super small so don't expect upward motion in hierarchy.
