      Payment terms advertised as Net 30 often extend to Net 60 or even 90. Payments are frequently late, and communication around billing is difficult. Contractors are expected to meet deadlines, but the same urgency is not applied to payments. Requests for advances are met with reduced compensation, which signals a lack of respect for freelancers.
