Pros

Biomedical Forensic is a great place to work. You are constantly challenging your mind and learning every day. You get the opportunity to get hands-on experience and do field experiments. If you are looking for a place where you can really make a difference, Biomedical Forensics is the place for you! The boss is very understanding, patient, and truly wants to promote her employees growth in the company. She has been in the business for a long time which allows her to be an excellent mentor. The company is located in a great area, close to San Fransisco, but you don’t have to deal with the hectic city traffic and parking. Overall, it’s a great company, great learning opportunities, and you are doing work that will truly make a difference.

Cons

The work is fast-paced. Which could be a con for someone that likes a slow-pace environment. But, I personally love the pace. It keeps you busy during the day and gives you more opportunities to grow educationally and professionally.

Pros

If you're able to survive here through your 6 month contract, you'll be battle hardened for any future career path. Nothing will ever faze you again.

Cons

Expected to work overtime without pay. Given manager responsibilities but still expected to meet billables for a research engineer. Manager responsibilities included setting up arrangements for boss's personal life or actually managing the property by searching for contractor's. Boss would scold colleagues to the point where it's degrading.
