Pros
Excellent training programs that help learn a lot very quickly. Block Academy is world-class, and helps you get certificates and credentials you otherwise would have to spend a lot of time figuring out yourself. Many great resources, such as Tax Institute, where you can submit any question you have. You will also have to cold call hundreds of people for basically collections notices, nearly every day. Also restructured pay after I left so tax preparers make much less money.
Cons
Avoid this office at ALL COSTS. There are two old ladies who work there, one of which is not only absolutely crazy, she is physically violent and HR does nothing due to the revenue she generates. She will do everything in her power to get you to quit because they do not want anyone else working there bothering them. She will also retaliate if you report her and instead report you based on a bunch of lies. I cannot stress how important it is to avoid this office in Santa Monica.
