Pros

You don't have to worry about feeling suffocated by a weird corporate bubble. The culture is pretty unique. Perks are perks that you actually want- we work from home on Wednesdays and spent the month of February in Mexico. Workdays are super productive.

Cons

The office is quiet and most communication happens via email or Slack. By mid-afternoon you start to feel lonely, even sitting ten feet from another human body. You can usually quell this feeling by petting the dog friend who floats around the office, though.

Pros

For years Bonanza was a good company with a great team of professionals that put the customers first. Trust and ethics were valued as much as innovation. The marketplace was profitable in a field that saw many competitors shut down or operate with debt. As a workplace the environment was one in which the employees were encouraged to grow their skills and their careers. Benefits were excellent.

Cons

When the company sold, unfortunately new ownership talked a big game, but was disorganized and did not value legal compliance. Though the company had been profitable, payments to employees, contractors, partners, and state taxes stopped being paid. This drove the core team away. Multiple people ended up having to take the new owner to court or file with the state in order to try to obtain their back pay. Many are still owed for the work they did. I don't recommend working there. Be cautious!
