I sincerely hope a state and federal audit is conducted into the potential misuse of Medicaid funds by certain organizations operating under the guise of public service. I witnessed behavior that raises serious red flags: • Positions created without need or transparency • Jobs handed to personal associates of leadership without internal posting • Client roles eliminated and then quietly refilled • Federal dollars used to reward loyalty rather than provide actual care If this involved private money, that would be unethical. But when state and federal Medicaid dollars are in play, it becomes something far more serious—possible fraud. Staff who asked questions were silenced. Some were targeted. I watched long-standing employees and even vulnerable clients discarded like they didn’t matter, all to make room for leadership’s inner circle. I hope an investigator, an auditor, or someone in authority follows the paper trail. Because those of us who lived through it know this wasn’t bad management. It was calculated. It was manipulative.
