Great place to learn a lot quickly - Associate Boston Strategies International Employee Review

Pros

- Exposure to many industries (energy/infrastructure on the client side, and all kinds of manufacturing industries on the research side) - You will learn how to connect data and be pushed to uncover why the client should care when you form recommendations - You can get a lot of responsibility quickly because it is a boutique firm. That means you can lead a project team within a year instead of 3+ years at McKinsey, ATK, Accenture etc. This will position you well for your consulting exit. - Travel to conferences and trade shows gives you a different level of understanding of industries - Much less travel than standard management consulting - Amazing subject matter experts with 30+ years experience in their field

Cons

- Loose corporate structure, heavy reliance on remote work - Feedback can be abrasive. But on the flip side, it pushes you to become better - Work life balance is worse than corporate, but definitely better than standard management consulting - All in all, this is probably a 4* company, which is good by glassdoor rating standards, but I wanted to counterweigh the unfair 1* reviews here and pushed it up to 5*

Pros

Team environment where you are asked to bring your thoughts and ideas to the table. The President - CEO treats you like a business partner. Data driven, Customer obsessed, Forward thinking. Work hard, Play hard.

Cons

I don’t feel that there are cons. I like the job and the environment.

Pros

The company doesn't stop until the job is 100% complete. "The customer is always right" is insufficient - every job must be done to world class standards, regardless of the sophistication of the customer.

Cons

Because of the intense quality focus, interim progress is constantly reviewed and work product is frequently refined, even at later stages, which can sometimes delay completion schedules.
