Pros

There were several of us who started at the same time. Those few people were a pleasure to work with. We wouldn't have learned how to fully do our jobs if we hadn't banded together and collectively filled in the training gaps. I felt bad leaving them behind, like I was abandoning them. I knew my position would not fully be replaced and the next person wouldn't know the laws in the state I worked in, which is concerning when you're advertising alcohol.

Cons

This place is filled with blame culture. Even when you're earnestly doing your best and trying to learn, there are mid-level people looking for ways to make you feel small. There was an admin person who would review your mistakes with you months after made the mistake. Even if you did something wrong, due to a gap in training, but had since then learned the correct way to handle that situation, she would still shame you. There was no emphasis on learning, so you can avoid mistakes in the future. No, there was a need to place blame and then have you express shame in order to move on. I take a lot of pride in what I do, so this behavior is the #1 reason I left. I work hard and I won an award while there, but I won't stay in toxic workplaces. During covid, they didn't layoff people, they cut everyone's pay. If you look at the numbers for the alcohol industry during covid, you'll notice their sales went up. Lockdown was good for their businesses. People were bored and scared and drinking filled their time. Brandmuscle didn't stop to see people as people or allow norm human err. Don't stay where you aren't valued. One more thing, we were expected to average 8 new designs every day. Which meant, 8 new designs, 8 designs sent to print, and complete any requested edits (no limit on number of edit requests) average every single day. Some times one of those new designs would be a 5-12pg menu. Since this job was salary, it is your job to work until you get the job done and your responsibility to keep your numbers up.
