It has a great environment and the Human Resources department are always trying to make it best for its employees. The Brazilian telecom market demands the professional to be well informed and aligned with tendencies and market directions. Brasil Telecom encourages its employees to attend Forums, Symposiums and even refund them in specific professional certifications.

There's a lack of professional recognition, although a yearly recognition program is run every year. There is a sense of "group protection" and not "opportunities for everyone". Feedback is still missing in its culture, from bottom management to top management. Several senior managers from the time in which Brasil Telecom was part of the state telecom company are still in place and still with the same state company culture. Sometimes it lacks the good part of being market-competitive, making projects and programs last more than it should.
