Pros

The people are good people and is the biggest pro. No place is perfect of course, but I met some fantastic workers here and learned quite a bit. There is some real talent here and it is a good place to go to learn but I wouldn't suggest staying any longer than you need to. Also Doug seems like a really sincere person that is just trying to keep his company going, but lacks the leadership around him to make it happen. The quality of people here makes the cons even worse because it's happening to good people.

Cons

My first/biggest complaint is that multiple times workers went without pay while management kept telling us a check was coming. Multiple times this went on for weeks and in order to pay rent employes were reduced to asking for a personal check to be cut which was usually like asking a parent for allowance and was met with questions on exactly how much you need to get by etc.. I ended up going into thousands of dollars of debt while I worked here due to living almost entirely off my credit cards, and at least 3 other employees I am in touch with had the same experience. Employees work very hard but some projects lack any direction, and seemed to exist only to give people work to do. Additionally there was a HUGE salary gap between the workers and the leads, my boss was making about 3 times what I made which says a lot about the pay they are offering new hires. There was almost no room for promotion and what there was caused rifts between employees who were jockeying for position to gain favor, this led to a lot of employees in the art department back stabbing and bickering as they all felt the need to constantly try to prove they were better than each other. Lastly you will come here to work on games, but will end up working on boring applications which are called games but are not published for the public.

Pros

Looks at new technologies and will listen to new ways to compete with the market. Nice employees that respect you and are enjoyable. Very interested in 'serious games' and building content.

Cons

Layoffs without warning (and poorly executed, no respect). Will never do triple-A games or lead a technology field due to lack of resources and further lack of planning. Seriously changed after 2008 layoffs and almost went out of business. Business often gets so bad they have to hold your paycheck (in one case they owed 26 paychecks to one employee). They won't pay anything owed if you leave. They don't have a true 'competitive spirit' and are slow to move forward, thus, never able to be at the top of their game. It's been a ghost town since 2008 and can't seem to afford or manage more than 50 employees. Lots of large empty spaces. Very expensive benefits so much so that it's not often worth paying them unless you are single.
