Pros

- SOME customers are very kind, but it depends on what store you work at. - Community stores get up to 8$ an hour in tips. (That was not the case at my store). - The regular staff you'll work with are usually awesome people. (can't say the same of managers though).

Cons

-Within a month and a half of working with a new manager I was fired without cause (that's code for "I don't like you so I'm gonna take away your source of income"). -You will never get a raise (they will say the Provincial Minimum wage increases ARE a raise). -HR and upper management do not give a s*** about you and expect you to work like a mule just because they do the same. - Very poor communication on company goings-on. - Kitchen was outsourced to a catering company, what happened to all those kitchen staff hmm? - Food never changes and is generally pretty bad. Lots of complaints about how it's packaged. - The only benefit (a free bag of coffee every two weeks) turned into two bags once a month, and if you don't collect them within a few days they expire. 33% discount is a joke. - POS system is from the stone age, but don't bother complaining about it to Upper Management because they won't care. - Will constantly be told "BH isn't making any money [due to the pandemic]" and expect you to make up the sales somehow. - If you aren't S-Tier at every single aspect of working there (customer service, cleaning, efficiency, team-player) you will get reprimanded. Even though customers liked me I was still told I wasn't good enough because I didn't ask every single customer that walked in "how their weekend was". - You will be demoted or told to quit for any single slip-up (even those out of your control).
