Pros

The mission to prevent breast and ovarian cancer is important.

Cons

Want to work in a low-paying, sorority house, with limited upward mobility? Of course you don't. Bright Pink seriously lacks proper management skills/strategies (which causes everyone's jobs to be a lot more stressful than necessary) and doesn't seem to care at all about diversity. The turnover rate is the highest I've ever experienced. Employees are often made to feel disposable until they are eventually disposed of. The nepotism has always been rampant at Bright Pink but it truly went into overdrive with the new CEO, when she brought on several friends giving them very healthy salaries while refusing to pay lower-tiered employees a comfortable wage.

Pros

The mission, and all the volunteers and people who work in the back who make the mission come to life.

Cons

The org is run like a sorority. Almost everyone is white and very young. There is rampant nepotism and this in conjunction with the inexperience of leadership leads to a highly unprofessional more emotionally charged environment. Unfortunately it is a perfect place for anyone who smiles and just says agrees and plays the role of a pawn. There’s a HUGE amount of turnover, usually someone suddenly finds themselves no longer liked for unknown reasons.... it's super unhealthy, not at all professional. And now, unfortunately, the hope for an experienced CEO to replace the founder turns out to be a friend who is also unqualified and has hired her friends and has given them inflated titles and worth.
