Decent Company - Manager Britmates Employee Review

I worked for them only for about 6 months due to personal circumstances, but my experience was very positive. The team are very mannerly and professional, especially the manager Daniel. There were a few issues along the way and he was always very quick to reply and did his very best to resolve them. Payments were prompt and transparent, which isn’t always the case with online companies. Schedule was mostly consistent with the same students every week and my hours got booked up to about 70% within the first few weeks. Every now and then students would request to cancel classes but if they don’t show up or give you enough notice you still get paid for the time. They have their own curriculum which is pretty good. On the rare occasion I needed to cancel a lesson they showed understanding and flexibility (of course I am sure that is only if teachers show consideration too, it’s a two way street)

They offer 30 min and 15 min classes and a lot of the time you can have back to back classes- that’s great for utilizing your time but it can be very hectic and it takes some getting used to.

None. I had no positive experiences from the company. Sloppy materials, and completely negligent trainers.

The whole experience from start to finish was a nightmare. I’ve never dealt with such negligence in 6+ years of teaching. Zero training or support. I signed a contract which clearly stated teachers must be given 12 hours notice before any new class. I was given 4 hours notice and then penalised for managements error. The way that my trainer Daniel was highly unprofessional, non responsive and talked to me in a very disrespectful way. Also promised hours were not delivered. I have left the position but still waiting to be paid for over one month with no response or reassurance that it will be paid. I would do everything to avoid taking a job with this company.
