Pros

- Young workforce (up to VP/SVP level) career progression means that many 30yos reach VP level - Competitive salaries/compensation - Great reputation in the market - Generally very nice employees all round - Great benefits: free lunch on Fridays, summer party, department and team parties -

Cons

- culture based on fear (e.g. all verbal conversations are captured on a follow up email, which is good practice in general, but it sets the precedent that everyone is trying to make sure they’re not in trouble. It also means you can’t always act quickly - lots of red tape: sign offs required by several stakeholder groups before progression made - operates nimble and lean teams: expected to work all hours and pick up the slack. - Your work day is always skewed to the HQ (Toronto/NY hours) and long hours in general. N. American culture. - Officially 5-days a week in office - As the company thrives on young talent, there were very few women on my team who had young children. Expected to have daycare sorted (or a partner with flexible working arrangements) as presumably you are compensated well. - Some colleagues have described the environment as toxic
