Pros
The company has a pretty amazing opportunity ahead of it. BuildFire is basically like Wordpress or Squarespace for mobile apps, in the sense that the company has built a platform that allows you to build a mobile app out of pre-built components. So that means that people who couldn't otherwise afford to custom develop a mobile app can get one within a pretty reasonable budget. Working here is great, so long as you're aware that it's definitely a growth-stage company and are comfortable with that. That means that things move pretty fast, and you definitely don't have the same resources or timelines that a mature company would have. But it also means that you get to work on things that can have a big impact and get to learn and grow your career at an incredible rate. That's way better in my book than being a cog in a huge machine that does boring work that won't really have any impact on the success or failure of the company. The people are great to work with. Our customers really love us. And it's great working on a product that's legitimately needed by a really large chunk of the market.
Cons
Benefits are improving but still have a ways to go. Staffing is definitely lean.
