Pros

- The cause, however, they never pay charities. - I had 2 people that made my time bearable

Cons

- The below comments applies to Built-ID and Give My View, both the same companies. -Very bad leadership- lack of presence, lack of direction, lack of transparency, lack of listening skills, lack of faith and no understatement of the company's values - Very bad management- the management takes credit for other peoples work, Doesn’t show appreciation or give recognition to employees but instead talks about you behind your back, management micromanages everything, Unable to trust (control freak), plays favourites, doesn’t provide clear or realistic direction, they avoid tough conversations especially the CEO, Doesn’t lead by example, lacks humility or self-awareness, management are complacent about poor performing or toxic team members and they manage with fear, not fairness. -No opportunity to grow in an individual and professional capacity especially when you are of colour - "Hell is empty and all the devils are here" - this was my hell. -Please avoid and find a company that understands you.

Pros

In Built-ID I worked with like-minded group of people that share the same goal – building a social-impact product that helps both the clients and end customers. I worked as part of the remote development team, while working closely with the management team to deliver new components for company's main product. During my few years at Built-ID I worked closely with different employees of the company – from the development team, over management and accounts, media and PR. Working in a startup can sometimes be stressful, but during my time at Built-ID I didn't have a single bad experience. On the contrary. I was personally in a bad emotional phase (with my ex-wife not allowing me to see my kid) and everyone at Built-ID was super helpful and really invested in making my time there much easier.

Cons

Like in every startup, working at Built-ID can be hectic at times but if you have a can-do attitude and don't accept no for an answer – you'll do just fine :).
